The MDA recognizes and appreciates that the apiary industry is an important component of Minnesota agriculture and, as such, we will continue to do our best to support the needs and activities of the industry.
Minnesota Honey Producer's Association (MHPA) is a non-profit organization made up of commercial and hobby beekeepers. The goal of the organization is to promote the use of honey and to provide a better understanding of the role of honeybees throughout the Midwest. The organization was founded in 1907, and is one of the largest in the United States.
The North Central Beekeepers Assocation (NCBA) is a non-profit group, formed in 1949, dedicated to promoting and developing the beekeeping industry. They assist and educate members and prospective beekeepers, promote the use of honey through a honey queen program, as well as maintain a booth at the Crow Wing County Fair for members to market their honey, beeswax candles, and other hive products and provide public information and education on all things bees.
This non-profit organization for beekeepers and people interested in beekeeping began in 2008. The Association is based primarily out of Carlton and Duluth MN, and covers a geographical area from Togo, MN to southern Superior, WI and Two Harbors to Sandstone.
Beekeepers from Benton, Stearns, and Sherburne counties of Central Minnesota. The Association meets monthly at the Whitney Senior Center, St Cloud MN on the 1st Tuesday of the Month [Feb - Nov].
